Bungalow holiday rentals in California

This was, by far, the best air bnb we have ever stayed in. In addition, Kim and Pam were fantastic and couldn’t have made our stay any better. They thought of everything to make a couple or family feel right at home. Everything was spotless, plenty of basics such as towels, linens, blankets to make your stay so cozy. And the beds, they were heaven. Great night’s sleep is definitely to be had. We used the fireplace inside when we arrived as it was chilly. Just perfect touch. Walk in shower is great. So nice to have two bathrooms, one with tub. Walking distance to beach. We went there every day with our dog. Very dog friendly area; you will encounter many daily. We appreciated the privacy and fenced yard, lovely entertaining area and the hammock was great. I highly recommend cloud gazing. Thank you, Kim and Pam for a truly memorable stay. We had the best time and you helped make it that way :)

John's place was peaceful and immersed in nature. Perfect for our family and young kids, with turkeys and deer all around, as well as a hot tub for when the temperature dropped.

Hard to beat this location, while not exactly beachfront, it’s as close as you can get otherwise. Probably a 45 second walk from door to beach, and you can see the waves from the kitchen window and front porch. Well stocked and comfortable! Great beach toys, boogie boards, chairs. Loved it!

George’s spot was perfect for our group. It’s in a very nice and walkable neighborhood, very close to food restaurants, stores, and other conveniences. It’s also just a stones throw from the waterfront park. The place itself was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The back patio was a great addition as well. Overall, a great place to stay for any San Diego trip.

Meehyun was absolutely amazing ! She always checked in and made sure we had everything we could possibly need and to perfection. You can tell a lot of care and thought is taken into consideration. Loved feeling like I was in my own little home.

Joanie's beach bungalow was so sweet and cozy. We loved how beachy the interior felt, and the space is really designed to make you feel like you're living a coastal life. For those visiting or thinking of booking, some thoughts: Big pros: -You can walk to the beach, truly just a few minutes away -There's a new resort that is also walking distance and has an amazing restaurant called Ox and Ocean -There are lots of beach toys, a beach wagon, and everything else you need To consider: -Oxnard didn't offer a ton of options for our little kids outside of the beach, so we ended up driving to Santa Barbara for the zoo (about 35 minutes away), and to Ventura for the downtown area (maybe 15 mins) Thank you for a great stay, Joanie!

We loved the location of Don & Diana's place, right across from the ocean and beach. It was a great home base for exploring the Redwoods. We enjoyed sitting in front of the huge window in the front room and looking out at the ocean. There's a staircase just across the street for accessing the beach. The communication with the hosts was the best I've ever experienced. Before I arrived, I received texts with all the info I needed. After checking in, the next morning, Don & Diane reached out to ask if we had any questions. When I asked about local grocery stores, they provided four options, including links to all of them. We had a great time at this bungalow near the beach. We had never been to Shelter Cove before so we didn't know what to really expect. this place was conveniently located just a short walking distance to the tide pools. The kids love to look for crabs and snails in the pools. We also enjoyed a delicious meal nearby. Shanna was excellent host and let us know of things to do in the area. The place was incredible. it was cozy and inviting. it felt like something out of a Ernest Hemingway book. We look forward to coming back again! Thank you

This is a great place to stay and we would recommend it. It looks just like the pictures & the surrounding area is beautiful as well. It feels private, being the last house on the street, with the forest surrounding it. My daughters (ages 15, 12, & 10) loved the game room, the trampoline, swing, the deck upstairs and the hot tub. Oh, and the laundry chute. They were amazed at the idea of a hidden door that you could put laundry in that brought the laundry downstairs. They even took videos of it. The hosts are wonderful and really make everything special. They connect with the guests and care about them and genuinely want them to have a special experience. They are easy to communicate with and give clear concise instructions on house rules, etc, but they also don’t make you feel like you have to walk on glass the whole time or like you’re a burden being there. There’s so many great things to say about this place and the hosts but only 1000 words allowed, so… just stay here if you can!
