Melissa and Jerry were fantastic hosts! their place, just around the corner was just as described. We found it clean, comfortable and added extra touches to make us feel welcomed. They were great with communication with us before and during our stay! The location was perfect for visiting Alfred University with our son. While our stay included plenty of snow, they were great with keeping things shoveled and clear so we could come and go easily. We definitely recommend staying with them.

Our stay was fantastic. The property is serene, offering a peaceful retreat with plenty of space to spread out and feel completely at home, whether you’re traveling solo or with a group. What really stood out to us was the level of thoughtfulness in every detail—from the well-stocked kitchen to the cozy corners throughout the house. The highlight for us, traveling with young children (2.5 and 1.5 years old), was the dedicated play area in the living room, filled with toys and books for a wide range of ages. Our little ones were thrilled! On the 2nd day of our stay, a minor hiccup occurred when landscapers unexpectedly arrived at the cottage. We notified the hosts, and they responded immediately, apologizing profusely for the oversight. Not only did they rush over in person to make things right, but they also went out of their way to offer us thoughtful gestures to ensure our stay remained enjoyable. Their genuine care & hospitality made a lasting impression - will be happy to return!

Timon and family were very helpful. The Barn is private, quiet, clean and comfortable. The dog friendly touches were very appreciated. The pillows and bed are super comfortable. Great coffee selection. The weekend here was just what I needed.
