This stay way absolutely wonderful. Such a beautiful and peaceful location. We really enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and fell asleep nightly to the soothing jungle sounds. The host was extremely accommodating and made sure everything was perfect for our stay. This has been my favorite Airbnb stay by far! I will definitely be staying here again if I ever make it back to the islands !

Robert and Erin were great hosts and communicators. The house is located across a beautiful park/beach. Even though the park was busy it didn’t fell intrusive at all, we loved having our coffee on the front porch in the mornings and unwinding in it at night. We have young boys who loved all the chickens and lizards in the yard, and seeing the sea turtles across the street. Overall the house is in great shape and met our expectations!

Shiva's cottage was absolutely wonderful. We loved everything about it...the deck that practically overhangs the ocean, the house layout, the design-we especially adored the kitchen floor-the whole house was beautifully decorated, with thoughtful touches throughout. Shiva was a pleasure to work with-very welcoming and great communication. The area is quiet and peaceful, which is just what we were looking for, after a busy week in Kona. Thank you Shiva for an amazing stay-we can't wait to come back!

Amazing place. Spotless and quiet and with view of the water. Very comfortable bed and kitchen had everything. Kehena beach is a 5 minute walk and is a stunning black sand beach. We had the upstairs while our daughters and friends were down in the lower unit - Great setup for our group of 7. We will Be sure to be back

Our stay at Kehena Moana was truly magical. This peaceful, private retreat is just steps from a stunning black sand beach! It was perfect for our two families with kids. The home was spacious, spotless, and beautifully stocked, with luxurious bedrooms, private bathrooms, and breathtaking ocean views. We spent hours in the pool (a huge hit with the kids!) and loved the soft Turkish towels provided. The setting was serene and lush, far from the busier resort areas, offering a relaxing escape. Caleb, Mark, and their sweet dog Jerry welcomed us warmly and gave a helpful tour. Caleb was an outstanding host! So kind, responsive, and full of great local tips. One small note: the coqui frogs sing loudly at night, so light sleepers may want earplugs. Still, most of us slept just fine. If you’re looking for a unique, tranquil Hawaiian getaway filled with comfort, nature, and charm, Kehena Moana is an absolute gem. We can’t wait to come back! 10/10 recommend booking this rare gem!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy and well-appointed home! The highlight was undoubtedly the stunning tropical ocean view—we even spotted whales and dolphins right from the deck! The location is fantastic, just a short walk to a breathtaking black sand beach (clothing-optional), though swimming is best for strong swimmers. The home is comfortable and has everything needed for a relaxing stay. As expected in the tropics, the environment can be a bit tough on materials, but that’s just part of the charm of being in such a beautiful, natural setting. The host communicated really well and has done a great job keeping the space welcoming and well-equipped. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway immersed in nature, this is a fantastic spot. We would absolutely stay again!

Incredible place and prime locations. Just walk across the street and you're at the beach. Walk a little to the left and you're at another beach with a huge wading pool. Kids loved snorkeling there. And, although I didn't know at the time of booking, the side and backyard is huge with lush tropical plants. Felt like we were in Costa Rica! As previous guests mentioned, the upstairs is apart from downstairs, with a separate side entrance (they are not connected). But there are no visible neighbors due to all the trees, so I don't know why other reviewers mentioned neighbors being loud. Such is not the case at all; but the beach across the street is public, so it gets crowded during the day. Felt completely safe the whole time.

Our small family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) loved our stay at Michael’s. We are already planning to come back ! Quiet area, with many hang out spots so we could be together when we wanted, and have space when we needed. The little pool was a big hit ! My girls and I were in it multiple times a day to keep cool. Great kitchen, well equipped with all you need. Huge TV for those rainy family movie nights. Lots of outdoor space for workouts, and looking for Geckos, Lizards and Chickens who happen to wander by. There is one of the nicest beaches I’ve seen close by - but it is a 60min committed walk in through amazing jungle on a very old chopped up cobble roadway that the ancestors used. It’s muddy - but well worth seeing the turtle refuge / spring water filled ocean bay at the end. Overall - I highly recommend this stay! It allowed us to soak up the Aloha in style.

We chose this property because of the close proximity to the ocean. There is no beach but you can definitely hear the waves crashing and it was very tropical. Besides the house next door, it is very private. Plenty of kitchen appliances, plateware, and silverware. The neighbors were friendly, including their dog. Overall, we had a great stay would definitely recommend this house if you are looking for peaceful, quiet time on the island.

We loved the property. We definitely appreciated all the switches being labeled and the property was beautiful. The pool was clean and a lot of fun, and there were plenty of dishes, etc. in the kitchen to satisfy multiple meals with 7 guests.

Beautiful home and wonderful host. We had everything we needed or could ask for. Mari was a perfect host answering any questions, providing many local recommendations and even met us at checkin to show us her home. The view was magnificent, opening the doors in the morning and sipping on coffee on the deck watching the sun rise was my daily ritual. It was a nice surprise to have chairs and snorkeling equipment available to us. Grocery and Walmart minutes away for quick pickup items. The must see sights were just 10-20 minutes away. We visited the caves, snorkeling in the bay, national park and the gardens.

We had such a wonderful stay at the house in Keaau and Michelle and Joe were amazing hosts. The house was spacious, clean, and comfortable with a beautiful outdoor porch and incredible lush grounds. We absolutely loved staying at the house it was hard to leave. Michelle and Joe are incredible hosts. They opened fresh coconuts for us, gave local recommendations to beautiful beaches and other things to do on the island. Every day was like coming home with adorable geckos outside and the beautiful sounds of the frogs at night. My only wish is that we stayed even longer! Thank you so much Michelle and Joe! Mahalo!

Susan's place in Kea'au is beautiful, convenient to Hilo and Volcano National Park, yet right on the ocean. Surrounded by the sights, sounds and smells of the ocean make this a great place to get away from the city.

Very beautiful home and lots of room for many people to stay. Host is very responsive with any questions/concerns. Very clean as well with lots of things you may need such as beach towels, cooler, water toys etc. Location is very private as well if that's what you're looking for. Just fyi it is ocean front but you cannot get to the ocean from location in case you are looking for that. You can see whales if you look closely which was very cool! Overall great stay for our first time using Airbnb!

We stayed at Diana’s place for a week on a family trip with six adults and two kids. The place exceeded our expectations and met all our needs. It’s very spacious, and all the bedrooms are well-equipped for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is also large and well-stocked. The outdoor area is beautifully maintained, and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. For our family, it was the perfect place to stay! :)

Our stay in Lynne’s tree house was nothing short of magical. The space is beautifully designed, incredibly well-insulated, and we loved the cool breezes on the balcony—especially while relaxing with the sweetest cat ever. Falling asleep to frogs and waking to roosters felt like a dream (I’m quite sensitive to sounds and always travel with earplugs, which worked perfectly for me—but my boyfriend absolutely loved the natural soundscape). The place is also fully stocked with everything from beach chairs and fins to flashlights for exploring beaches, cliffs, and volcanoes (We even caught a glimpse of an eruption!). Not to mention the beautiful orchids in the house! You can really feel how much care Lynne has put into every detail. This place isn’t just a stay—it’s an experience. Thank you, Lynne, for sharing your beautiful corner of the world with us. We’ll be dreaming about this tree house for a long time.

My partner, Stacey, and I stayed six nights here. Photos and descriptions are accurate. The property management company was extremely responsive to questions (i.e. seconds). We enjoyed the private and quiet, cliff-top ocean-view location. The location is very beautiful. Stacey enjoyed meeting the home-owner, Alan, who was present in his adjacent residence for a few days. We appreciated the box of beach goodies: chairs, umbrellas, beach matts, boogie board, floats, frisbee, etc. Kitchen is well equipped, and even had ice packs for the soft cooler that we brought with us to Hawaii. There were some basic cooking supplies that other guests presumably left behind (i.e. tea, cooking oil, sugar cubes, salad dressing). There was no coffee, however. We contributed peanut butter to the stockpile. YMMV.

We just had the best family trip to Hawaii, and it was because of this magical place! The property is beautiful- on a gorgeous orchid, super private, and with a nice little path to walk and explore. The house is huge. We had 12 people (3 families), and it was very comfortable. Everyone had plenty of space, and most of the bedrooms even have 2 beds, which was really convenient. One of the best parts was that every bedroom had its own bathroom, so there was no waiting around for showers or getting ready. The kitchen was amazing—commercial appliances and even a griddle! There’s also plenty of space to hang out, both inside and outside, which was perfect for our group. Also, the rooms are pretty soundproof. We had a baby with us, and no one heard her crying at night. Overall I HIGHLY recommend staying here if you want a relaxing stay with lots of space for a large group. Moon was so nice and responsive and even brought us extra towels during our stay.

We had a wonderful time! The house had the best of everything, and the swimming pool was divine. The sound of Mother Nature can get loud at night so bring earplugs.

Remote (and we like remote), private and quiet setting. Off the grid, but comfortable. Location a bit of a drive, but great for viewing lava and wave action on the beach. Not swimmable though due to recent lava flow. Awesome stay.

The place was very nice. It looks like a vintage house but fully remodeled with all the amenities of a new house. It would have been a challenge to find using a map app but Jeff provided detailed instructions and we found it easy to navigate to the house. The house is near the end of a quiet lane so there was no traffic. There were a variety of wildlife outside the house including geckos, lizards and little chirping frogs to add to the experience.

If you want to feel like you are in a rainforest treehouse then look no further. The sound of the coqui frogs and birds was beautiful. This is a simple, nicely laid out space. Deck is where we spent most of our time. Enjoyed saying hello and goodby to the sun from the shore. Ask how the hot water saving measures work. Once you know it's not an issue. 😊 Corner store nearby, about 8 minite drive.
