Apartment holiday rentals in Hilo

We had a issue with the shower head on arrival. Vacasa and their team were so quick to address the issue. The gentleman who manages the entire property was so wonderful. He met us on checkin and made us feel very welcomed from the start. They were repaving the parking lot and he had an entire plan in place for parking guests as we arrived if our spot was affected by the current paving. The place was quiet and relaxing. Would recommend this location to anyone wanting to use it. We had a small child and the hosts have thought of everything there were even some kids books there :)

Great place! Ki left an excellent recommendation list full of activities close to the Airbnb! He was very responsive and helpful. In the kitchen, a few cockroaches crawled out of the sink drain. But at the end of the day, it is Hawaii, and there are lots of cockroaches on the island. But his home was great!

Our stay in Hilo was comfortable and clean. The location is ideal, close to town and all of its activities but also a short walk to a beautiful beach park where we could swim safely in waters sheltered by a breakwater barrier. The apartment was well-serviced with all of the amenities we needed to be comfortable and the designated parking spot made returning to the condo a breeze. Checkin/out were easy with minimal cleaning requests such as stripping bedding and towels. We would recommend this location to other travelers.

Quiet, cute, and comfortable. This condo is in a good location and had all the essential amenities. I enjoyed the pool. I was able to work from this location without issues.

We love staying at this location. We previously lived in this building and felt lucky to find this great rental. Appreciated the beach chairs, cooler, and beach towels for the stay. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

The apartment is just perfect for a couple. I was floored to see the interior decor and layout, and the balcony was a beautiful place to eat breakfast or just to drink coffee and read. Big screen TV and free streaming service, Roku, Netflix, Paramount, Apple TV, Disney+, to name a few, Wifi is excellent should you just want to stay indoors. The room has everything you need for a comfortable stay whether you wish to cook or just relax & chill. Parking area is not lit during the night so it's dark but you're safe, and the property has resident geese and chickens. The nightly rate is absolutely reasonable, about a $100 less than the two major hotels on Banyan Drive, plus you get so much more extra room amenities that hotels don't give yet charge you that extra $50 resort fee for things you should get by default. Complementary Keurig cups (coco and coffee) hands down this place is definitely value added. I will certainly look at staying at this place in Hilo town again, 5 ⭐

I liked the studio very much and had enjoyed the view of the pool, etc. It was quiet there and I appreciated that it never got noisy. I also enjoyed swimming in the pool. I didn't realize that the rental was so far from Hilo town though and I didn't rent a car not realizing that.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 weeks— it was awesome! The apartment was cute and EXTREMELY clean (like the shower was cleaner than my own lol and I have ocd !) which I really appreciated :) The hosts were the best i’ve never experienced— extremely attentive, kind, and respectful. The aloha spirit radiates from their messages! 🌺🤙🏼✨ The only thing to note is that there is a narrow entrance due to a shipping container on the property, so it was a tight fit and glad we got a small car as opposed to a truck! Additionally, there is no covered parking due to an additional apartment next to our unit that is not mentioned in the description or photos. It was chill though, our neighbors were respectful as were we. Would have preferred to have known this or be a little more like a secluded getaway as expected, but it was no biggie to us we didn’t care :) We appreciated the change of towels and offerings of things to do, snacks, etc. anything we needed! 🌺🫶🏼💫 we were so taken care of

This is a unique, older complex and the units are efficiencies that come with a nice size patio. We were there in February and enjoyed sleeping at night with the cool night air blowing through the screen patio door. Once you get used to the area noises, it makes for good sleeping. What is nice is that the place comes lightly stocked, or they leave the donated items from other guests for future guests. I would rate this a 2.5/3 star accommodation, but very clean. It does not have central air, but it does have an external source to cool the unit. The building’s small laundry room was convenient and clean. We did not use the pool as the water was in need of a good shocking. There is a golf course that borders the back of the complex with a walking trail to the ocean. The people we met in the complex were friendly and helpful. Downtown Hilo is just five minutes away. We enjoyed our stay here and would return again.

Great place to stay!! Nice beach/park area right next door and close enough to town but far enough to be out of the bustle of town. Great decor and a very secure place for anyone!!

This isn't a 5 star stay by any means, but for the price I'd say it still earns them. At the time of this review it was 85/night. The lights didn't really work and I had to use a cell phone to see at night in half of the unit. The laundry machines are pricey and don't do a fantastic job. the buildings are run down but the grounds are beautiful. Again, it isn't perfect, but it's the perfect price for what you get.

Awesome place and responsive host. Right on Carl Smith Beach Park, which is beautiful. Balcony is screened which cuts down on bugs, place and was super clean with thoughtful beach supplies that made our stay much more comfortable.

My fiancé and I stayed here for two nights and absolutely loved it. The water view was outstanding — we found ourselves just sitting and soaking it all in. The location is perfect, close to everything in Hilo, yet peaceful and relaxing. The space had everything we needed in one place, making our stay super convenient and comfortable. Honestly, I wish we had found this gem sooner — it’s hands down the best place we’ve stayed at in Hilo. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Luxe was very responsive, friendly, proactive and understanding. The apartment is beautiful and the scenery and proximity to the ocean and great snorkeling cannot be beat

We had a great stay at Carrie and Hugh's Airbnb. They were gracious enough to let us drop off some luggage before check-in. The place was clean, comfortable, and centrally located (10 mins to downtown Hilo). There was also a very cute cat on the premises who would greet us whenever we ran into her! We look forward to staying here again next time we're in town.

I have stayed in a lot of Airbnb accommodations. This condo is the best. It it's perfect for one or two people it they aren't sharing beds. I love sitting on the balcony and watching the waves. I have been here multiple times and I am very comfortable here. Restaurants, market, and beaches are close and easy to access. I love staying here. Thank you!

The location was amazing. I’d never been to Hawai’i and I’m so glad we stayed at this place. Hilo is a charming town, great to walk around, and we were able to easily get around the entire island. The condo was so clean and beautiful. It’s by far the best place I’ve ever stayed at. The view from the balcony was spectacular. Also, the beds were actually comfortable! Overall a fantastic experience, would definitely stay here again.
