Family-friendly holiday rentals in Leigh-on-Sea, Southend-on-Sea

Fantastic facilities for a big group weekend away; we were a group of 18 and had plenty of space and the sleeping arrangements were great. The property has been redeveloped to accommodate large groups. Karen was very helpful before and after the booking, asking about bedroom set up (twin vs double) and also giving instructions around check-in and check-out. The garden is fantastic and we enjoyed making use of that and the hot tub! We also had caterers in on the Saturday night who had cooked at the venue before and the enormous dining table was brilliant for our celebration.

I was here for work and the area was fantastic. Great place to walk my dog in the morning and evenings. Fantastic facilities like gym and coffee shop. Would happily stay again even if not for work.

My family and I had the most wonderful stay at the River View barn. The barn was lovely and so peaceful with a beautiful view. We had such a great time and would recommend this to everyone.

We loved our night's stay at the Hen House. We live locally and visit Parlour Cafe regularly (it's our fav local cafe and they do the yummiest food) We booked our stay to have some quality time together and it was perfect. Easy to access, hot tub was easy to book and there are some lovely walks locally. Host was easy to get hold of and lots of information sent up-front :)

I really enjoyed the view! It feels like there's only you and the magnificent river, it stretches almost to the horizon. From time to time large ships sail by, but it's a quiet and calming place. I stayed there for 5 weeks, and everything was comfortable and convenient: a kitchen with a large oven, a washing machine, a large bathroom. The neighbourhood is super quiet with nice architecture. Supermarkets are on the other side of the railway, but it's not too far away. Trains to London run regularly, I've never waited for them more than 15 minutes.

What a little gem! Catherine had very kindly left us bacon, sausages, cereals, bread, Flora and biscuits (I may have forgotten something!). The view from the lounge window was breathtaking (and I should think in the summer, from the table outside, even better). Spotlessly clean. Beautiful shower room. A nice property in a lovely quiet rural setting

Booked this place for my parents and their dogs ! And it couldn’t have gone better ! Responsive host , let them check in early ! Spotlessly clean and the surroundings speak For Themselves …. Frogs , geese the lot ! Lovely peaceful retreat ! Parents will Be back !

A very pleasant stay. The nearby railway was extremely quiet. When we arrived there was coffee, tea, milk, sugar and even complementary biscuits waiting. Clean, tidy and comfortable. Our dog enjoyed the garden. We would definitely stay here again.

The house was perfectly descriped with clear onstructions. The area was private and quiet. The house was clean when we arrived and she help warm the house before our arrival. Everything was great. Thank you Linda.

A wonderful cottage in a great location surrounded by good pubs and eating places. Easy to find with good parking facilities. The cottage is fabulous much better than we could ever have imagined, peaceful and relaxing with fantastic views. The owner has considered all your needs to ensure a perfect stay. The breakfast food was terrific much more than expected. We were disappointed that we only booked 5 nights, next time we will certainly stay longer.

My second stay with Jo during a week of working in the area, and it was just as enjoyable as the first time. Relaxing surroundings with plenty of space and kitchen facilities make a stay away from home so much better. I would recommend Jo's garden cabin very highly indeed.

Incredible stay - cant even begin to explain how beautiful the cottage and it's surroundings are. The team were very accommodating, friendly and helpful! Could not have asked for a better weekend getaway for the bride to be. A quote from the bride, "I came here for my hen do which was organised by my friends. The place was spotless and in an ideallic location, and the staff were so responsive. Every room was spotless and smelled great and the catering was adjusted to all of our dietary requirements. Im one happy bride with a happy stay and I’d love to come back again x" A massive thanks again to the team !

The accommodation was exactly what we were looking for as a base for the New Year break and visiting family in Gravesend. Really handing for the local shops and the motorways. Extremely comfortable and had all the creature comforts you would expect. The accommodation was also decorated for Christmas which was a nice gesture, along with chocolates too. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at this accommodation in the future. The hosts were very accommodating with parking the car and we were free to come and go as we pleased. All in all a perfect week. Thank you 😊

The place was perfect and was above and beyond what I expected

I booked Tabitha's place for a group of colleagues and all went very smoothly. The information from Tabitha was clear and timely and communication was good. We had some issues with finding enough in the way of local parking but managed to get by. Thanks Tabitha!

Great property, in the right location for what we wanted to do. Very peaceful, hardly any outside noises. Sonia’s bungalow had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Very clear and friendly instructions.
