Lovely quite place to stay? Friendly host and nice welcome pack on arrival. Comfortable couch and bed. Very spacious downstairs and wheelchair friendly. The vents can be a bit noisy when the wind gets up. Very little light pollution in some directions if you are into star gazing. The drive is spacious .

A spacious, modern design on the inside with a characterful inglenook fireplace. The master bedroom was huge: comfortable bed with beautiful linen, large tv and a modern free standing bath. Downstairs, there’s a very large lounge and a well-equipped kitchen with substantial island. In the garden, the hot tub felt private and I’d like to come back in warmer weather to sit outside too.

I absolutely loved our stay at Barnacre Alpacas, we stayed in the rose cottage, it was very clean and the hot tub was a bonus. We enjoyed the alpaca walk and talk, that was something I’ll never forget! On arrival the cottage was dressed up for a birthday surprise and champagne and chocolates was left for us. Thank you to Paul and Debbie, we will be back!

We spent the weekend at Gill’s beautiful cottage and it could not have been any better. The cottage was perfect in every way and we couldn’t have felt anymore at home. The cottage itself was gorgeous and extremely well kept and the views across the fields were stunning. Gill was a great host and went above and beyond to make our trip one to remember. We would recommend this to anyone and were certainly come back again in the future.

Four of us have just spent 3 nights in Peewit Cottage. From the moment we arrived, we all felt right at home, the place was spotless, beds very comfortable too! Everything you could possibly need for a self catering stay was provided. Having the private hot tub was fabulous, we loved it after full days of being tourists in the local area. On a separate note, we would highly recommend a visit to Beamish Museum which was about a 30 min drive, we also spent a day in Durham City & booked a 2.5 hr History/City Tour with walkaboutdurham - highly recommended. Tour Guide Peter is very knowledgeable & so passionate about his job plus he gives everyone a "free" cocktail voucher for Turtle Bay - well deserved after 2.5hrs walking around the City 🤣🤣

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The hosts were great at not just providing information but being very responsive to messages and were very friendly and welcoming. The house had everything you could need/want. We didn't need to use the kitchen facilities much in our stay but there was everything you could need there. The welcome pack provided was very much appreciated containing some lovely goodies, especially the coffee from the Durham Coffee company. It was delicious. The beds were super comfy and loved that they provided both a firm & medium pillow to accommodate everyone's preferences. The whole place was really clean & they had really thought about what people would need during a stay. The hot tub was a lovely addition and some of our party took advantage of it. Others liked the fire pit & the hosts even brought round some more logs for us to have a second use of it during our stay. Loved that every room had an ensuite, made things much easier. Loved the Harry Potter room

I’d picked this location as a convenient spot for meeting with family over the Christmas period. Also very important was the single level accommodation as my husband has mobility issues. The bedroom was large and comfortable and the en-suite shower room was a big bonus. I really appreciated the supply of tea, coffee and breakfast stuff. Our dog was also welcome and we enjoyed lots of walks around the village. Highly recommended if you need a quiet spot as a base for a Northumbrian holiday as it is within a sensible distance from everything from the Roman Wall, the coast and castles to Newcastle. Our host was very nice and all communications with her were clear and simple. Would be happy to book again.

We had a wonderful stay at The Old Barn. It was the perfect cozy base for our trip to visit family locally. The barn was peaceful, comfortable, spotlessly clean and fresh - it had everything we needed and we especially enjoyed coming back to the fire after a day out. Our boys enjoyed playing football in the lovely garden. Steven was really helpful. We had a fabulous time - very highly recommended.

Lovely old cottage, lots of character. Beautiful garden with lots of wildlife. Great location. Brilliant kind and helpful host. Everything you could need in cottage. Critisism ... could do with some tlc, alittle run down. Damp in some bedrooms. Blinds to kichen and small windows would be useful as not very private especially with downstairs bathroom. Would benefit from deeper cleaning ie. Bathroom, under beds etc Overall lovely time spent in cottage. Thankyou Anne for all your help.

What a perfect spot in pure tranquility. We really felt like we had our own spot in Corbridge. A lovely property with plenty of attention to detail and the facilities necessary for a great stay. Katie was always reachable. First class.

The Farmhouse Annex is a great place to stay and explore the Northumbrian countryside! We found the accommodation to be spacious, comfortable and clean. Slaley village is an idyllic spot, with the nearby golf course a favourite for dog walks. The garden was also a great space for our dog- he loved it! The kitchen is well equipped and thoughtfully supplied. Liz and Joe are great hosts, very friendly and accommodating. Thank you for having us!

Our stay in Newbiggin was fantastic, such responsive hosts and a lovely place for long or short stays, being so near to the beach and to some great local pubs was a bonus. The house was clean and tidy and had everything we needed whilst staying there ( lovely neighbours too) thank you again 🙏

Have just spent 4 nights at Elmhurst. Beautiful, traditional cottage with all of the home comforts. Wood burner, well stocked with logs. Very well equipped cottage. Chris really is the best. Highly recommended.

Great stay at Tile Sheds Cottage. The cottage is set in peaceful surroundings within the farm. Loved looking out onto the field to see the lambs and perfect for a bit of star gazing (when the weather allows). The cottage is spacious inside, the kids had a great time playing hide & seek. The decor is dated but adds to the farm cottage vibe. There is no WiFi but the phone signal is good enough to stream if needed. Loved the fire and the Aga, both kept the cottage toasty and warm.

Abbey Hill Cottages to high above W. Hartlepool. They are well equipped.Beds are comfortable and so is sitting room furniture. Plenty of hot water. Good shower.Lots of space. I would stay again.

Great find! Fab little place with plenty room for four. Excellent shower, very comfy beds, everything you need in the kitchen, cosy lounge and dining area. Parking right outside. So close to the promenade and a stunning beach. The whole area is incredibly clean, the views are stunning and the people unbelievably friendly. Excellent road network for driving into Northumberland or up the coast, and an impressive rail system up to Newcastle. I have no hesitation in recommending Vikki’s place! Plus she was incredibly quick and very helpful when we had questions.

Lovely Airbnb, centrally located in Bishop Aukland, and walkable to Kynren. We made good use of the Aukland pass that was included to visit the castle.

Spacious and comfortable cottage ideal for a couple in a pretty village by the moors. We enjoyed visiting the surroundings including the city of Durham and Beamish Open Air Museum as well as castles and countryside. On street parking was no problem as we always parked in front of the cottage.

A bijou bolthole in Tynemouth. Perfect location for exploring the town and many beaches on foot. A real treat.

We had a great stay in John's comfortable and clean cottage. We loved the local restaurants and pubs. We were perfectly placed for visits to Alnwick, Amble, Morpeth and Wallington Hall and enjoyed Newbiggin itself.

Our third stay at Toft Hall cottage; we enjoy coming back as it feels homely, it's quiet, spacious, and has easy access to all parts of Northumberland, including the coast, Cheviots, N Pennines and Kielder. Hosts Mac and Maggie are very welcoming and responsive. We always look forward to our next stay.

Stayed here while working in the area. Sarah's property is wonderful, it's in a beautiful location and Sarah is an amazing host. Quick to respond to all communication, nothing was too much trouble. We rebooked immediately for the following week as we did not want to miss the opportunity to stay here again.
