Fantastic hosts with a fantastic place. They were very welcoming and offered assistance if we were in need of help. The view was amazing and very easy to get too. Will definitely come back again!

The cottage was warm & welcoming. John provided a generous welcome pack of goodies and was flexible and responsive to any questions. We really appreciated the beauty of the surrounding countryside and peaceful environment of the cottage. Despite it being a spring visit we enjoyed having the fire lit for us one evening. I have no hesitation to recommend Johns cottage.

Lovely and cosy little conversion to stay in with a decently equipped kitchen and bathroom. Easy location to access the peak district. We brought our gravel bikes to cycle around the peaks and was fine to safely store the bikes inside as well, would likely be back when visiting peaks!

The perfect place to spend four days..would have liked longer! Very welcoming and cosy. Loved the two fireplaces with ample wood. It was more spacious than thought with a big kitchen , great dining room and cosy living room. We appreciated the quality of the linen and towels. The shower was a bit temperamental…but the bath was a great substitute. We enjoyed walking directly from the cottage down through the woods to the reservoir. Lots of other lovely walk tempted us but we just didn’t have the time. Would definitely return. Catherine was very responsive and helpful.
