Holiday rentals in Darlington

We stayed at Barbara’s airbnb for a night while we attended a wedding at the Croft Hotel. The location of the airbnb was perfect for us. The space and cleanliness was an added bonus.

Booked for a long weekend visiting Friends in the North. We've stayed in dozens of holiday cottages over the years; Hunnypot had the best equipped kitchen of any of them. It was spotlessly clean, warm and looked newly decorated. The only setback was that the road outside the house is narrow, as it makes clear in the specs; if you have a larger car you may not be able to get it through the lane let along park it there. Our rented Mazda CX-5 (7' wide including the wing mirrors) wouldn't fit and I had to reverse it back down the lane. This isn't really a problem as there's plenty of space near the pub on the wider (and still quiet) West Road a two-minute walk away, just be prepared and if you have a large vehicle don't be like me, don't try to get it through in the first place. The village pub is down-to-earth and friendly and the delights of Richmond only a few minutes drive. Beamish Living Museum was a great place to visit and well worth the forty-minute drive. We'd stay here again.

We only stayed one night and we were not in the house much - but great value and much nicer than a hotel - really clean and very comfy bed.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming Airbnb house located on a very quiet side road in a lovely area of Darlington. The peaceful setting made it the perfect retreat, away from the hustle and bustle yet still conveniently close to local amenities. The house itself was comfortable and well-equipped, providing everything we needed for a relaxing visit. Our host was exceptionally responsive and helpful throughout our stay, promptly answering any questions and offering useful local tips. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a tranquil and enjoyable stay in Darlington.

Amanda's place is lovely. Very well decorated throughout with great fixtures and fittings. Bedlinen and towels very clean and fresh. We were visiting relatives who were in the country for a few days. Never been to Darlington before. The people we met were very friendly. There's a lovely big park right by the house that's worth a visit. We really enjoyed our two nights and would stay again if in the area.

Thank you for hosting us at your beautiful home. It was perfect for our family gathering and had everything we needed. You have been a fantastic host and we really appreciate it.

Michael was very responsive and helpful and the location was great for access to shops and the town centre.

Great place to stay. Would definitely stay again. Gutted we had to leave slightly early as I had problems with my car. Photos are accurate. Would be great if it had a parking permit as it was pretty full when we arrived.

Jane met us on arrival, explained everything, then left us to chill out. The welcome pack and fresh flowers were a lovely gesture and were much appreciated. The cottage was spotless and felt extremely homely. We very much enjoyed the games room and enclosed hot tub. The garden areas were vast with lots of outdoor furniture. We enjoyed a lovely ice cream at Archers ice cream parlour (10 min walk) and experienced both pubs in nearby Heighington, very friendly, great food and service in the George & Dragon. Another recommendation is the nearby Raby castle, definitely a worthwhile visit. We definitely recommend staying at Ivy cottage and look forward to returning there again. Thank you Jane.
