Country Cottage With Hot Tub, Walks & Great Pubs!

CassandraRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Well what can I say about our Easter break at Scorton, other than fabulous.! What a house. What a location. What a host. The house itself was well set out and prepared. There was only three of us, but easily fit more. Locality you have an amazing village green with two pubs that do food. We tried both. Lots of walking locally and visits to neighbouring Ripon, Richmond and Northallerton. Loads of space in the house and we were welcomed with some Prosecco, ginger biscuits and Filter coffee which was a lovely touch. We loved the log fire, which had plenty of logs, to last us over the four days. We will definitely be back ❀

The Milking Parlour

RachaelRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We had a lovely stay in the milking parlour, check in was easy no messing around the cottage was ready for us when we arrived, the space is much bigger than it looks too. The cottage had everything you needed and a lovely open fire also, we used the shared hot tub every day it was absolutely lovely. The area is very remote which is lovely however for a week with 3 young children without having to drive 30 mins there wasn't lots to do but we were lucky with the weather so for us was brilliant if it was cold and rainy however I'm not sure it would've been the same. Whilst there we visited the roman fort, hadrians wall, walked into the local village, visited talking tarn country park where they had Mini golf and you can hire boats, we went to fairhill recreation ground that was a brilliant park for all ages and the dog loved it too! we also visited rowleys for raspberry picking which the kids even my 21 month old daughter absolutely loved! Loved this little place and will be back

We absolutely loved our stay at Hannah’s lovely home! Beautifully furnished and the hot tub kept our children entertained. Richmond itself is lovely and easily walkable. And the Yorkshire Dales are just a stones throw away. We would recommend to anyone and look forward to returning!

The Old Moat Barn - With Private Hot Tub

RachelRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Me and my husband visited as a family with our 8 year old daughter and two tiny chihuahuas. Our dogs can be a bit happy which was absolutely my motivation for picking this location, secluded quiet and most importantly the courtyard area with the hot tub was entirely secure. Meaning we could relax in the hot tub without worrying about any unexpected puppy escapes. The place itself was beautiful inside , the only bathroom is in the main bedroom but in a family setting this is absolutely no issue. It was the perfect setting for cooking, playing board games and watching movies. We were able to walk the dogs, spend time as a family and all had a comfortable uninterrupted nights sleep. I can see us returning for sure!

SECRET GARDEN Grade 2 listed cottage with Hot Tub

AbigailRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Richmond. The place was beautifully presented, had a lovely hamper waiting for us on our arrival and we made great use of the hot tub. It’s so close to all the local amenities and the North Yorkshire countryside. We did have a little trouble with the keypad instructions (there were 2 codes given) but apart from that, everything was as expected. Parking on a bank holiday weekend was a little tricky but we were lucky with getting spaces just at the right time. We’d recommend to others wanting to either get out and explore or stay in a cosy and warm inviting house.

Cosy one bedroom cottage near Barnard Castle

LucieRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We had the most wonderful time at Joanna’s lovely cottage. It is even better than we imagined! The garden space was perfect for our dog, she could stay off the lead and we knew she was safe because of the wiring on the fence. Great location with lots of walks that were recommended on a leaflet left in the cottage which we found really helpful too. We would definitely return and recommend to others! Thank you again đŸ„°đŸ„°

Plum Tree Cottage - 1 bedroom

IanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Absolutely amazing location and property. Check in and communication was hassle free. Made to instantly feel at home. Immaculate cleanliness and all the facilities to make our stay perfect. Unfortunately, we had to leave the property to go back to work (otherwise would have loved to stay longer). Full credit to Bev for her hospitality.

No 6, stylish and comfortable get away and relax.

AnneRating, 5 stars1 week ago
House was very well presented, only issue was the closeness of the road and having to cross it to use the car park, we had a young child with us and we had to be extra careful for him.. Anne

The Hayloft- romantic retreat and dog friendly!

IanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A Home Away from Home in Yorkshire" Our holiday at Laura’s cottage flew by far too quickly! From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcome and at ease. The cottage was spotless and beautifully maintained, with thoughtful little touches that made it feel just like home. It had everything we needed—even those little items you’d always have handy in your own house, which made our stay even more comfortable. The peaceful farm setting was simply lovely. We enjoyed watching the cows, sheep, and chickens, and we were delighted by the little squirrel that visited the garden. The tranquility of the place was just perfect—so calm and relaxing. A special mention to Laura’s mum and dad, who were incredibly warm and welcoming. We truly enjoyed our chats with them, which made our stay even more memorable. If you’re looking for a cozy, peaceful retreat in Yorkshire, this is the perfect place. We can’t recommend it enough and would love to return!

The Ashes

AngelaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
A very unique country getaway, perfect for our family get together. A quirky property with lots of charm. Surprisingly warm in the winter. Kids loved it having the tractors around the house and sheep in the field. Lots of tricky steps and hard floors for my youngest child to negotiate but he got the hang of it, and great that there was a cot and highchair provided. As other reviews say, everything is a bit ‘old’ but that’s the style of the property and we loved it. Very useful mudroom with washer and dryer. Comfy beds!

Ivy Cottage, 3 bedrooms with hot tub+games room

JakeRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Jane met us on arrival, explained everything, then left us to chill out. The welcome pack and fresh flowers were a lovely gesture and were much appreciated. The cottage was spotless and felt extremely homely. We very much enjoyed the games room and enclosed hot tub. The garden areas were vast with lots of outdoor furniture. We enjoyed a lovely ice cream at Archers ice cream parlour (10 min walk) and experienced both pubs in nearby Heighington, very friendly, great food and service in the George & Dragon. Another recommendation is the nearby Raby castle, definitely a worthwhile visit. We definitely recommend staying at Ivy cottage and look forward to returning there again. Thank you Jane.
