Our Stay at the miners Cottage was a pleasure. The location was perfect for me and my Son we were visiting family over the Christmas Holidays. The home was very cozy and clean, and Maxine was available via text if we had any questions, which we didn’t as everything was perfect. I would highly recommended this accommodation, if you are looking to stay in the area.

We had a great time at Michael’s place, it was super super clean, tidy and well thought out. The house itself is extremely convenient for us location wise with easy access to Sheffield and the Peak District. Michael was fantastic with communication, and offered some really helpful recommendations and advice. Highly recommended and we’d love to stay again soon!

Sarah's home was very clean and well thought out. Everything is as described and exactly as in the photos. The room was warm and cozy, and she was very helpful in accommodating our needs. The home is in a very quaint street right next to the church and walkable to the high street and a selection of restaurants. For anyone planning to explore in and around Buxton, I would highly recommend. Thank you for hosting us. :)

Really lovely stay in the friendliest household with John and Amy and the sweetest dogs. The room was on the top and felt very private. Really enjoyed being able to have some space to make food in the kitchen and keep things in the fridge. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Extremely well equipped, and well taken care of, with lots of thoughtful touches. Plenty of wood for the fire. The main road is right next door but good windows meant we were not disturbed by traffic; easy to get to and for onward travel. Lovely big bath and decent shower, and beds were comfy and not too hard or soft. The hosts' effort really shows.

Clean, well-equipped, three-bedroomed house at the edge of Sheffield city centre, near the University. It’s on the edge of a busy roundabout and road, but the traffic didn’t bother us. Would suit three singles, a small family or possibly two couples. There’s a tram stop a few minutes’ walk with frequent trams to the city centre, Ponds Forge, the English Institute of Sport, Meadowhall, etc. It’s also easy to walk into town – about 20 minutes to the Crucible Theatre – and there are loads of bars, restaurants and shops along the route (West Street and Division Street). Parking permits are provided so you can park close to the property. Claire is a brilliant host – helpful and responsive. We had a great stay!

Very quirky property full of antiquities, paintings, reference books and nick-backs. Very homely and wonderful reception rooms and large open kitchen area. Flowers and shrubs galore in the beautifully kept oasis of a back garden. Perfect stay whilst attending our daughter’s graduation.

Perfect locations, lovely house with everything we needed. Highly recommend for large groups looking to have their own space as well.

Fantastic house, beautifully presented. Very clean and tastefully decorated. Felt cosy despite being a large house. perfect for a group of people. A very stocked kitchen - everything we needed. comfortable beds and crisp clean linen. We all loved it.

We had a lovely stay a Bob's House, Joanna has thought of everything, board games, books for both adults and children. We thoroughly enjoyed the garden, watching the chickens and looking at the fish in the ponds. The location is great, only a few minutes drive to the Everyman track, near to the space centre and Abbey Pumping Museum. Joanna was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We chose this accommodation due to its closeness to the English Institute of Sport as was attending an event there over the weekend. Place was as described and would be more than happy to stay there again. Jake was very responsive to any queries that we had.

Stayed for a couple of days due to close proximity to Alton Towers. Matt was very helpful and proactive in leaving instructions on how to access property, parking, wifi code etc. The house is very tidy with everything you could need/want for a short stay including a dishwasher in the kitchen which was great for our family of 4. Would stay again and would recommend!

Exactly what we needed for a quick stop over. Everything there that we needed but couldn’t get the coffee machine to work - could have been user error though!

We absolutely loved staying here. The property was spotless and had everything 3 adults could need for a weekend away, including coffee, tea and fresh milk put in the fridge for our arrival. Max was brilliant at communicating from the start and gave clear instructions on getting to the property, as well a a great list of things to do and see. We were on a short stay but took full advantage of the walk to and along the canal that was really close by. A beautiful walk with a very handy tea shop 2 miles into the trip! Great value property and we all said we would come back. Thanks max.

Lovely home, boutique decor feel. 3 double bedrooms were all beautiful and very comfy. Lots of welcoming touches and pet friendly. House situated in a great location, town centre at the top of the street (1 min walk) with great places to eat on doorstep. Leek Bar and Grill (Mediterranean Restaurant) served delicious food ( great vegetarian options), very reasonable prices. Dogs welcome. Lots charity shops and independent shops. Down the street the other way is Brough Park (5 mins walk). Huge beautiful park, fantastic for dog walks and the skate park area was a hit with my son. Lidl supermarket round the corner. Great base, drove to the beautiful village of Castleton (45 min drive) and visit to the Caverns, stunning views. Plenty other places to go walking within 40 mins drive including Luds Church stunning views 20 mins drive. Perfect for myself 2 kids and a dog. Small town house, Living room ok for us but 4 + would be a squeeze. Compact but beautiful, cosy, warm and practical.

Another fantastic stay at Amanda’s house this year after we stayed last year. Everything still excellent and as the weather was so good we had a fab time taking advantage of the beautiful places only a short drive away - Dovedale and Carsington Water. We will be back again for sure.
