The accomodation in this 18th century pub was a pleasure. From the vibrant and lively customers in the pub downstairs to the eclectic decor it was a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable stay. It’s not your standard AirBnB, but it was exactly what we were after. An enjoyable, memorable stay in a country pub, and it more than met the brief.

Great value for a large space! Really suitable for large groups travelling.

Great location in central Castleton. Easy to find, park and get in. HUGE bed and shower, plus other great amenities like a fridge. Would happily stay again and again.

Easy check-in at the bar. We were shown to our room and advised to use a different door if the pub was closed on our return. Very friendly staff. No one available on check-out but we left the keys with someone at the pub as we were leaving. The room was clean and tidy. They left croissants and 2 pots of porridge, presumably for breakfast. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat them as I can't have dairy but my husband enjoyed the croissants. The bathroom was small but functional and very clean. The shower was very powerful and hot - perfect! The bed was comfortable and the room had everything we needed. Lovely location and wouldn't hesitate to book again if we are in the area.

It’s always a pleasure staying at Chantal's place. Chantal and her co-host Marion do an amazing job at hosting and making sure their guest are having a nice stay.

The building is slightly old but the rooms are still kept on very good order and the value for money is far better than other hotels in the area.
