Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Ireland

Had a lovely relaxing and very enjoyable few days at Duffy lodge. The accommodation was just perfect it’s was spotless, had everything you needed and more eg plenty of towels, toiletries, tea/coffee. Deirdre was just amazing so friendly and accommodating and went over and beyond. She had fresh bread, milk, butter, eggs in fridge for us when we arrived. She made the most amazing scones which were absolutely delicious. We felt very at home and loved that our 2 dogs were very welcome also. We would highly recommend Duffy Lodge and will definitely be back again at some stage. Thank you Deirdre so much. Paddy, Pauline and Aisling xx

Just returned from spending a week at Nuala’s home. I cannot emphasize enough how incredible our stay was. If you are thinking about booking with her, don’t hesitate. Just do it! She had every amenity anyone would need for a short or long stay. She has an entire garage of outdoor games and equipment for children- bikes, dune buggy, rain/mud boots, soccer balls, golf clubs, fishing equipment, chairs, picknet blankets, and the list goes on. Her home was immaculate, and spacious for up to 7 people. She had a detailed list of all of the activities in the area. But the best part was her hospitality, the animals and sweetest dogs ever, and the location. Her home is a five minute walk to the beach, with incredible views and scenery! My children played with the family dogs everyday, we milked cows, got local eggs from the hen house every morning, fed the horses. Nuala was so incredibly kind. She treated us like family from the moment we arrived. Lots of tears shed when we left. Thank you!

Easy walk to Sutton station which provides easy access to the city. Elphin Bar easy walk. A few supermarkets an easy walk. quiet suburban location near the water.. very friendly locals. water pressure in Ireland is not like Australia. Be aware suitcases have to be carried upstairs to bedrooms and heating is timed.

The house is a beautifully kept home from home. It had everything needed and plenty of space for families. It’s only a short drive to Castleblayney. Bernard is very responsive from booking to check out and he made the visit very stress free with providing exact information needed. A lovely welcome pack was also provided on arrival. Excellent accomodation all round.

We stayed here as a group of 23 girls for a hen. The house was absolutely perfect. There was plenty of space for such a big group. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. A brilliant location so close to Kilkenny. Mary was so lovely and helpful throughout the entire process and couldn’t have done any more for us!

Lovely house, very well put together and very clean. Will definitely look to stay again. Great price and 5 min drive to dingle town

A really nice home with fantastic facilities, the outdoor area really adds to the experience, we were able to make great use of the hot tub, sauna, plunge pool, BBQ and pizza oven. The photos don't really do justice to how nice the house is. The town on Buncrana is a short drive away and has everything you want or need, restaurants, take aways, coffee shops, bars, supermarkets, parks, walks and beaches, a great location overall.

We have just had the most wonderful stay at the red brick house. We were a group of 3 adults (one elderly) and 4 children aged 10, 8, 6 and 3. The house fit our needs perfectly, plenty of room for the children to run around in with the fantastic addition of the basement games room which had plenty of use from us all. Location was perfect for my elderly father in law as was only a short walk to the town. Joe who was there to greet us was very welcoming and helped settle us in and was also there to check that our stay had gone ok at the end. We will most definitely be back. Thank you very much. stayed at Ailishs with my family for 8 days lovely appartment Central to everything we needed and such a lovely town with lots to do for all ages would highly recommend 🙂

This is the 5th time we’ve stayed at Domonics place. It’s in the best location if you want to be in town. On the doorstep of all the bars, restaurants and shops. The apartment is equipped woth everything you need and has the best views over the sea and mountains.

We where over for a friends stag do 7 of us plenty of space plenty accommodation for us 15 min walk to temple bar plus a local downstairs from the accommodation good for a pre drink or a night cap kevin made sure we where settled in and was always responsive to any of our queries and highly recommend and made us feel really welcome so was a good choice because of a do go back a know where a will be going

Noreen was a great host who went above and beyond to make sure my family and I had what we needed during our stay. For example, she purchased sheets for a playpen, bought milk and chocolate/cookies, and provided a change pad for our little one. Her place is very spacious and quiet. It also is great for traveling with a baby. Location wise - it is about 10-15 mins walk from the centre of town and the walk is nice. Parking was great and easy to get in and out. We would have liked to have a bit more amenities in the kitchen, just because we ate in quite a bit for dinner with our 5 month old, but that said, it was sufficient to get by. I would recommend her place.

Siobhan is an absolutely amazing host! From the moment we arrived, she made sure everything was perfect for our stay. My family and I had a wonderful 12-day experience at the apartment, and it truly felt like a home away from home. The space was exactly as described, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location was incredibly convenient, close to everything we wanted to see and do, and the ample parking made things so much easier. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would gladly return. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Beautiful spotless appt very centrally located in the town ,yet quiet at night .Very thoughtful plate of sandwiches and other food goodies left for arrival v.much appreciated after long drive .Kitchen was well stocked which meant I didn’t have to bring the kitchen sink if I wanted to cook Camilla was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive.The only issue I had was that I would have loved to have the time to stay a few days longer

Liam’s place was perfectly located for our holiday vacation in Dublin. It was well equipped & a great home base for our small family. Liam was highly responsive and a wonderful host. We would definitely love to stay at Liam’s home if our travels took us back to Dublin again.

This space was just perfect for our visit to Cobh. It was in the best location, with a gorgeous water view and within walking distance to every thing in town. A big plus was the parking spaces right out front. We parked the car and didn't move it. The space was spotless and uncluttered. Just note, there is a flight of stairs up to the living area. then a second flight to the bedrooms; ok for us but others may find them problematic. I highly recommend this location.

Me, my cousin and his two young sons stayed at Gail and Antoine's house in Garmna, right in the middle of the islands in Connemara. We had a warm welcome from the first day not only from Gail and Antoine but also from their neighbors. The house was veryclean, comfortable and beautifully furnished. The bedrooms were to a high standard and the place was veryconvenient for the fishery, our reason for coming. Antoine was extremely generous with his time and advice. We loved the pool table in the evening. The atmosphere was always relaxed and welcoming. I highly recommend anyone who would like a trulyIrish experience in beautiful Connemara. We will undoubtedly be back!

We had a great time at Annette's place. The apartment is very cozy, cozy and bright. It is also very well equipped. The view is splendid, and the recommendations of the hosts are to follow!
