Holiday rentals with a pool in Sicily

We stayed as a group of 9 during the winter months. The Villa was beautiful, and overlooked the ocean (from a distance). It was peaceful and serene. Paolo kindly offered us access to his orange and lemon trees, which were amazing! He was a helpful host, helping order us pizza our first night when everything seemed closed. The large dining table and kitchen at the back of the house was perfect for family dinners. We used the outdoor BBQ (propane) and the indoor stove/top range - all worked well. We also used the fire pit and Paolo was kind enough to give us some firewood. The house is about ~20 minutes from Palermo by car, which you definitely need in order to stay here. If you don't feel like cooking, try Bragone restaurant (15 mins). Incredible pizza/pasta in the countryside. We stayed during a cold spell, so while there were lots of heat and heaters available, we were chilly at times because we had to balance the electric load just right to keep things running smoothly.

We spent a beautiful time in this family home and wished we had booked longer. It is a place that naturally makes you feel calm, grounded and at home. Even during nights with heavy thunder and rain, the sunlight woke us up gently through the windows in the morning, accompanied by the sounds of birds and far cowbells. We hope to come back sometime!

We had a great stay in Sicily. Octavia and Mickael are excellent hosts, meeting us at the villa and being very proactive in responding to any questions throughout our stay. The villa had everything we needed and the pool is lovely. The seating around the pool hash great views. There is also a more private area to the rear for eating or sitting out, surrounded by olive and lime trees (plus visits from lizards and the occasional cat!). A car is necessary to visit the wonderful historic towns (Noto, Modica, Ragusu, Syracuse) and the quiet beach is only a few minutes drive away. We enjoyed a couple of meals in Marzamemi too.

Super kind and nice people. We arrived with public transportation, and they were so kind to pick us up at the train station, and leave us there again on the day of departure. The pool area was super. We only shared it with one other apartment, so plenty of room for all. We are a family of 5, kids aged 7, 11 and 13, and with a nice fishing village, lots of restaurants and beaches within 30 minutes walk, it was an ideal stay for us.

A magnificent house with a breathtaking sea view. Ideal for families looking to spend quality time together in a quiet area. There are plenty of activities to do in the area, but you need a car. The house itself was beyond expectations, has all facilities, and invites to live outdoors. We especially liked the outdoor kitchen, preparing an omelette while enjoying the sea view, I will never forget. Enjoying the evening from the very large Spa and taking an outdoor shower, we were totally unwinded after our week. Sicily is also such a great place. Special thanks to Francesco and his team for the hospitality and accurate communication.

Very nice property wirh a wonderful garden. Photos of the property are a bit outdated, maybe tey should be changed. Kitchen could be a bit better equipped and I would suggest a weekly change of towels and a daily pool cleaning. But all in all we enjoyed the stay and will come when we have our next trip to Sicilia.

Cozy and spacious house, equipped with every comfort. Great hospitality and kindness from the hosts who made us feel at home right away, ensuring everything we could need together in courtesy and secrecy. Daniel, although "remote", has always been very quick to respond to us. Apart from that, the place is an authentic place of peace and relaxation, surrounded by greenery and tranquility. Pretty much everything we were looking for for these last summer resorts.

We stayed here 5 nights. It is rustic but the location is beautiful and stunning. Hot tub is smaller than expected but was nice after long days walking on cobblestone. Friendly and amazing hosts. Available anytime you had questions or an issue.

The apartment was spacious, very clean and the view from the very large deck was amazing. Check in was a breeze as we were given clear instructions on how to get to the parking garage. Francesca was extremely communicative and always ready to help. The town was a few minutes walk away and there were many good restaurants and shops here.

A very kind host that gave us a lot of information and was always avaliable. The place was clean and had a lot of basic supplies to cook and water in the fridge when we arrived. The only downside was maybe the paperthin walls where we heard both constructions and the neighbors. The pool was also closed for the season which was a bit sad. On the plus side the ocean is beautiful and the village very sweet and close to a lot of nice things. All in all a lovely stay, we recommend it!

Fantastic spot, incredible view over the north side of the coast line. The apartment itself is wonderful and accommodating, and the balcony cannot be beat. Silvia was a wonderful and accommodating host. The location: This apartment is on the north side of the ridge that Taormina sits on. The good part is that this means you can drive right up to the apartment complex and park your car for free in the garage. That's very valuable in Taormina since there's no car access in the city. The downside is that there's 8 half-staircases and a large hill going up into the main town. My 75 year old mother managed it, but it's a little bit of a hike. Still, it's a worthwhile tradeoff for such a wondeful, private spot with an incredible view, free parking, plenty of space, and easy access to the city. You may also be able to find a ride up to the top of the hill but we just walked. I would absolutely stay again. Thank you Silvia!

Well-maintained complex with a beautiful pool and great views. You can almost always see the sea from the terrace. Just a few (steep) meters to the beach, where there are also some restaurants and bars (but only partially open in October), a small Conad supermarket can be reached in less than 200m. It's a bit too far to walk to the city, but easy to reach by car, here a lot of restaurants and other ways to deal with (in the evening) Also many excursion options e.g. to Erice or Favignana. Very good and friendly check-in and service from Eliana which was easy to reach. Small drawbacks were the many roaming and begging cats (not for allergy sufferers) and that the house is very clairaudient, the bathroom from the neighbors borders one of the bedrooms in each case. And a dishwasher would be nice, but that's in the description.

It was a real pleasure to host us at this home. Hosts Paolo and Giovanna are charming and very hospitable people. The place surprises even more than in the photos, we were able to rest, enjoy the tranquility, the landscape and views it offers as well as the surrounding cities since it is only 1h from Palermo and 20 minutes from Cefalu. Highly recommended. We are sure we will return at the first opportunity we have. A hug to the hosts.

Guilia's place is spectacular! It's better than the photos with gorgeous views of the sea, mountains, city and even Calabria in the distance. The grounds are immaculate with a huge private terrace for meals and drinks and a massive pool that feels like your own private resort. Giulia's family lives in the other units and were always friendly and helpful but not intrusive in the least. Even Papaya the dog knew when to leave us to ourselves lol! The interior is pristine and spacious. As many have pointed out the town center is about a 10-15 minute walk away. So you are very close to all the restaurants and shops but away from the tourist hordes. Taormina is hilly but most of the walk is relatively flat. Traffic is not a worry, we did not encounter much of it on our walks. Also, Italian drivers, although speedy, are careful and well aware of pedestrians. Giulia is a fantastic host, always quick to provide recommendations and respond to our questions. Wish we could have stayed forever!

A great location, in a modern apartment suitable for families. Only criticism would be that there was no dishwashing tablets, and only 1/4 roll of toilet paper - so we had to stock up on some of the basic essentials as soon as we arrived.

It was amazing to stay at this beautiful place! It’s peaceful and the view is amazing. You have anything you need here for some lovely days in Sicily!

A beautiful villa with old-world charm yet modern feeling. Amazing views of both the ocean and Etna. Well maintained gardens and grounds, with a lovely pool and sitting area. Pino and Viviana were always quick to respond and helpful. Truly a special place

Villa palamara is an absolutely stunning piece of Francesco’s family heritage and it has been an honor to be able to stay there. The terrace overlooking the ocean as well as the kitchens are most remarkable and we have really enjoyed cooking and enjoying our breakfast, lunch and dinner on there terrace . In general, the kitchen is the most well equipped we have ever visited through airbnb and the place was very clean. It felt luxurious being there and we hope to come again soon! The host Francesco is also very friendly and easy to communicate with.

Martina was amazing. She listened to feedback and addressed it straight away. She assisted us communicating with locals and helped us overcome some problems and she gave us great local tips. You couldn’t find a more generous and caring host!

Already in advance, Agostino responded to queries in record time and even a small change of dates was not an issue. Rita and Pino have taken care of ours on site. We will keep the fresh salad from the garden in the best memory. The apartment itself is as described and seen in the photos, also the magnificent view from the terrace where we could enjoy the morning sun. In November not unimportant if the nights in Sicily get a little cooler: the apartment was well heated. And when Pino showed me that the heating is operated with shredded olive kernels and almond bowls, I was thrilled with this CO2-neutral heating. In short: We had a wonderful holiday at Villa Settefrati.

Me and 6 other friends had a beatiful time at Casa Grande. The home is great for a laid back vacation with lots of relaxation. There's plenty of seating available inside and outside, and because of plentyful lighting you can enjoy it even during the night. The beatiful scenery (sea view, mountain views) and plants really give you the 'Authentic Vibrations' the name describes. We all felt right at home and would describe this as the perfect vacation home. The staff is very friendly and flexible. We had late arrival and a long drive to the home and were greeted with two huge pizza's, which instantly relieved us of all worries, this really shows the hospitality of the host. The location of the house is good, there's plenty of shops and restaurants within 20-30 minutes of driving, however for some of the more 'touristy' locations you have to drive further. This is however always a joy because of the great scenery everywhere. Would recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.

Lovely spot outside Noto. Great if you want to be a bit secluded. The pool was stunning and the house was very comfortable. Great hosts thank you!
