Waterfront holiday rentals in Sicily

This was our second stay at Alessandra’s Casa sul di Mare. We have only done the same AirBnB at this special place since traveling. It is the best location for the view and allows our daughter to play all day on the beach while we can see her right from the room. It has the best restaurants within a block and entertainment. It is historical and makes you feel like you transported back in time. Alessandra is a beautiful host and had the best recommendations for Cefalu. She was very helpful when our daughter was not well and offered to arrange for her to see a doctor. Only in Sicilia do you have such compassion and welcoming hosts like Alessandra. Grazie mille ci vediamo l'anno prossimo!

I stayed for 2.5 weeks at this flat, working during the week. It was an excellent space, really nicely designed and with all I needed for the duration. It’s really well located - right in the centre of the city, so walkable from great bars, restaurants and the energy of Palermo. Palermo is quite loud at night, and the double glazing on the windows is pretty good - but if you have trouble sleeping the centre of Palermo probably isn’t for you. The balcony is lovely and gets the sun most of the day - perfect for morning coffee. Everything worked and Gabriele was responsive and flexible, and helped whenever I needed. Would definitely recommend.

Stefania was an incredible host!! She gave us many recommendations for local restaurants to get the authentic Palermo experience! The beaches nearby were gorgeous. Well worth what we paid, Mondello is a beautiful area. We felt right at home! I wish we could have stayed longer.

Great host, friendly and flexible. Spacious and light place, good kitchen, large living room and balcony. Fantastic ocean views. Easy parking. Close walk to beaches and restaurants. Pozzallo is not a town with many tourists which we appreciated. Only downside is the local youth gathering in the little park outside on weekend evenings, but the sleeping rooms are in the back and undisturbed. Absolutely good value!

Lovely apartment right at the heart of this beautiful coastal town. Large balcony gets the sun all day. Apartment is fully equipped with everything you might need. We had a very enjoyable stay! Could use a couple more pillows on the bed and a couple of loungers on the balcony.

The apartment is tastefully decorated and is very central, but absolutely quiet. We felt right at home. Salvatore took great care of our well-being and was always available. We enjoyed the white wine that Salvatore offered us to welcome us on the mini terrace. We would book this apartment again anytime.

Our early April 2025 10-day stay was great! The property was exactly as shown on the listing site. An updated, well maintained, very clean, bright, lovely place in an absolutely beautiful setting. It was an easy walk to activities, sites and restaurants in both Siracusa and Ortigia. The host was helpful and responsive. It's one of the nicest places we've stayed in 20+ years of international travel. We highly recommend it to others.

Salvatore is a perfect host. He was extremely welcoming. He kindly informed us on the day of our arrival that the apartment would be ready earlier and was there to greet us. The flat was immaculately clean, had all the things we needed, including a lovely roof terrace. We loved the colourful furniture matching the beautiful tiled floors. It was a pleasure to hear about the family connection and history of the house. One of the big advantages was the car park as parking in Cefalù is not easy. The apartment is quiet and only a short walk to the historic centre. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and highly recommended Salvatore’s home.

A simple but beautiful villa with plenty of space, several terraces and a beautiful and unobstructed view of the sea. From there you can explore the area on foot or by car and you can discover something new every day. Be it the Castello, the Capo Milazzo or the old and new center of the city. The house is simply furnished, not up to date, but this also has its charm. Yes, there are no real showers or air conditioning, but this has been made up for by the view, the spacious garden and much more. I would like to highlight Alessandra and her family. Super friendly, helpful and respond very nicely and promptly to inquiries. Thank you for 2 great weeks in Sicily.

With Francesca's house by the sea, we found the place we didn't know we were looking for. The location is beautiful, a few meters walk to the deserted beach, quiet and secluded on a beautiful natural property. There were no other guests in the neighboring properties, but we still felt safe in this pretty gem in the evening. The camera and the lockable gate helped. The house is lovingly decorated, clear, tasteful and cozy. It was super clean, smelled pleasant. In addition to the usual household and everyday items, toiletries, beach accessories and drinks were present. The icing on the cake in the kitchen was the fantastic, local olive oil. We were there in the cooler season and thanks to the air conditioning it was chubby warm in the evening. The absolute highlight next to the really exceptional beautiful accommodation is Francesca, who welcomed us super warmly with delicious food.

We spent my husband's birthday and the holidays in Fulvio's comfortable villa and enjoyed a wonderful time there. The house was very clean and spacious and the mentioned amenities were provided. There is a restaurant (Graffiti) within walking distance of the house, but for the other amenities, such as a supermarket and the like, I would still recommend a rental car. Highly recommended is Mondello beach, even in the winter period it is good to stay there. Palermo city is about 20 minutes by car from the villa and the airport about 25 minutes by car. There are several (historical) sights in the area, so you won't get bored. Fulvio himself is very helpful and responded very quickly when we had a question. We would definitely recommend this place and host.

Beautiful place that is wonderfully decorated. Excellent location and close to many sites in Siracusa. Really enjoyed it.

Great place, certainly designed to enjoy in hotter weather so outside areas can be enjoyed and not put away with the wind as was the case with us! Unfortunately came on a stormy weekend beyond everyones control. Recommend hiring a car if staying with Maia, only 15 min walk from train station but area isn’t particularly pedestrian friendly and trains arent too often/didnt run past 9pm. But none of this the hosts fault, an oversight by myself. Thanks for having us, seeing the ocean from the bedroom was definitely a highlight!

Peaceful place with lots of plants, cats and open spaces. Marcello is very kind, relax and helpful. We enjoyed everything about this Airbnb.

Marcella is a warm and responsive host. She allowed us to check in very early and her place was clean and comfortable with a lovely view.

great stay at Robin's place. The accommodation is very beautiful, right in front of the sea. a great place to rest. Robin is a great host! Very friendly, it makes you feel at home.

Leti was responsive and efficient from the moment we booked our stay. She organised a taxi from the airport and he was waiting for us. We had a couple of questions and she replied promptly. The view was wonderful and encompassed the whole of the bay and there was always something to see/going on. It could get a little noisy at night as the locals dined out exceptionally late -the restaurant was still receiving guests at 11pm! Thank you Leti

Great place right in the middle of everything, but not loud in the evenings. We had a great stay, and highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful stay at Enricos apartment. There was plenty of space for the 4 of us to (a family with 2 boys 10 & 13) be very comfortable. The location is absolutely perfect with just a short walk to beautiful and affordable bars and restaurants. Panificio Bakery below the apartment was the real Cherry on top when it came to having beautiful fresh pastries for breakfast on the spacious balcony. For those interested in the Culture & History of the Island Enrico provided perfect information of how to get there etc and was always very responsive if we needed a little help via text message. Mondello is an excellent base for a holiday to Sicily with good transport links everywhere. Finding free local parking close to the apartment for our hire car was easy. We give Enrico & his apartment 10/10 for everything and would definitely use it again. Thank you, Enrico, for everything.

Very nice apartment. Refurbished. 2 steps from the beach and especially from the bus stop (rotation approximately every 15 minutes) which allows access to Lipari quickly and from there everywhere on the island or on the other islands. Lorenza is very welcoming and very responsive. I would highly recommend it.

Angela was a very kind hostess! She gave us a very warm welcome. Communication with Angela was very pleasant and easy. She recommended that we visit the pizzeria right down on the beach for the evening, which was really great and certainly the best pizza of the entire vacation! We liked the apartment and the terrace even better than what was evident from the photos. It was very clean, the kitchen was equipped with everything necessary. Likewise the bathroom, which also had a washing machine. All around it was a great apartment with a great and quiet location, a few meters from the center of Balestrate. It was also great that the apartment was a few meters from the beach, so you could enjoy a nice sunset on the beach with a beer or wine. Should we decide to stay in Balestrate again for a few days, we would not hesitate and would immediately like to stay with Angela in the apartment again!

We had a wonderful stay at Walter's place all around. Already upon arrival we immediately felt comfortable – the apartment is equipped with everything you need. The location right on the beach is simply fantastic and has made our stay very special. Walter was an exceptionally helpful host. He always responded quickly and kindly to our questions, provided us with great tips for excursions and restaurants and was very accommodating at all times. His warm nature enriched our vacation and we really enjoyed the time to the fullest. We would come back anytime and can fully recommend the place. Thank you, Walter!
